KILT NITE
|
 |
 |
We're breakin' out the kilts and there will be live Irish music by Arkansas Celtic Music Society and Bagpipe Music by Richard Manson here in the pub. It's always a blast down here for those who happen to have a kilt, wear your kilt and show your pride and tartan.
The kilt evolved in the Highlands of Scotland, and later became the "national costume" of that country, and of Scots around the world. In recent years, however, the kilt has been embraced by many diverse people as a symbol of their shared Celtic heritage - the Irish and Welsh, for example - and by others simply drawn to the kilt's comfort, uniqueness, and its statement of bold individuality. Embrace your urge to do likewise, and join us for an informal get-together...

Nashville Songwriters Association International
Central Arkansas Chapter
Presents
Songwriters in the Round
Monday, December 5, 2011
6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Host: Charlie Crow, Regional Workshop Coordinator
Hear local members of Central Arkansas' Chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) perform their original songs in the round
The Central Arkansas NSAI Regional Songwriters Workshop was organized in 2005 to help promote, encourage and educate local songwriters in the craft of songwriting and the business of music. Affiliated with the Nashville Songwriters Association International, the Central Arkansas Chapter is open to all persons with a serious interest in songwriting, regardless of their level of experience.
In keeping with the NSAI mission "to protect the rights and future of the profession of songwriting, educate, elevate, and celebrate the songwriter and to act as a unifying force within the music community and the community at large," NSAI has established over 100 regional workshops throughout the world. Our workshops provide a supportive, non-competitive environment where a sense of community is felt and camaraderie is developed among members over time.
